Fixing vs Creating

Writer's picture: Richard YoungRichard Young

High Performing employees are like the best athletes. They focus on creating the future rather than fixing the present.

Fixing is perpetual problem solving and wheel spinning. The expert is moving forward, focusing on creating their desired future through action. They have retrained ‘fixing-habits’ into ‘learning habits’.

The expert is not free of things needing fixing. They are free of those things taking their attention. They point their attention and action to what matters and create their future.
