Unlike learning to perform, winning offers no significant or lasting meaning. You can tell the difference – a result is fleeting, but the process it took to get there can be deeply meaningful.
It can carry us for the rest of our lives by uncovering parts of ourselves and the people around us that we didn’t see before. That is the performance picture we want to be part of. It starts with a decision; to win or learn, to prove or improve.
This is a learned skill and a competitive advantage.
